One year of flight operation in Viseu

On July 13, 2020, the IFA began its flight operation at the Municipal Aerodrome of Viseu.

Despite a year of activity affected by the pandemic, the IFA made about 2,000 movements, corresponding to several hundred flight hours.
The flights performed were mostly of the VFR type. Now the students are getting ready to enter the IFR phase and with that more aircraft will be allocated to the school’s operation in Viseu.

Also newer students will start the practical phase of their course.
Therefore, a sharp increase in the activity of the IFA at the Viseu Aerodrome is expected, and consequently in the global growth of this aeronautical infrastructure, to which the IFA is proud to belong, which welcomed our project with open arms.
