The most modern and innovative cabin crew course in Portugal! At IFA, our students are trained by highly experienced professionals, some of whom are Crew in Airlines, military areas, first aid or with connections to the aviation industry!

Airplane Mockup Training

In order to give you the best possible training, you will train in a replica of an airplane to realistically simulate how you will have to behave and act inside the aircraft with various emergency scenarios.

Get ready to:

– descend in the emergency sleeve,

– Explain safety procedures to passengers before the flight takes off

– sit in the cabin crew seat and evacuate passengers from the airplane in case of fire, emergency water landings or remote locations.

– Donning of life-jackets, portable oxygen and PBE

– Act and react to smoke on board

First Aid and Life Support

Discover the physiological effects of flying and how to save people’s lives in-flight through primal medical care. Prepare to:

– Assess the victims condition

– Learn basics of life-saving techniques

– Resuscitation skills (CPR)

– Use medical equipment

– Administer oxygen

Fire and Smoke Drill

With the assistance and supervision of a group of firefighters, you will carry out several exercises related to smoke and fires:

– Real Fire Fighting with fire extinguishers

– Usage of smoke hoods in smoke environment 

– Fire chemistry and classification

– Sources and types of fume events

– Hazards associated with on-board fires

Water Survival Training

What if an unexpected water landing happens? For this profession you have to know how to swim 25 meters without a vest and know how to save people in case of an accident.

– Flotation equipment

– Use of slide‐raft, life‐raft

– Pool ditching procedures

– Survival techniques in water (individual and group)

Lifting the raft canopy

– Distribution of duties to passengers

– Rescue passengers
