IFA International Flight Academy expands in Portugal – New base in Braga
New flight base, new heights: Welcome to Braga!
With Cascais and Viseu already on our map, we’re thrilled to expand to Braga. Let’s fly further together! ✈️
IFA will initially invest €1.7 million in building a hangar and acquiring new teaching equipment specifically for training aircraft maintenance technicians. The first pilot course will start in March 2026 and AMT course is scheduled to begin in September 2027, once the hangar is completed.
“We will also bring in six aircraft—five single-engine and one twin-engine—as well as two flight simulators: one general-purpose model for instrument flight training, and a more advanced simulator designed for pilot instruction on Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 aircraft,” – José Madeira
The pilot training program, expected to launch in 2026, will run for two years. Meanwhile, the flight attendant course will take just over a month. The company anticipates training around 120 students annually.
