Airline Pilot Standards Multi-Crew Cooperation Course
The APS MCC is a course that teaches pilots how to interact and share flight duties among
the members of a crew, following the methodologies used by airlines and flying aircraft using
simulators that represent the entire aircraft. It is an EASA-recognized course, intended for
recent ATPL or CPL/ME IR holders, and prepares them to undertake any type rating course.
For current pilot students of the integrated or modular ATPL, the APS MCC is considered a very advanced MCC module to be taken during the final phase of the course, with all the usual task sharing procedures and checklists performed in an A320 environment.
Pilots with an ATPL degree can benefit from this course by experiencing an introduction to a Type Rating, studying all the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for the A320 and B737, for example. For airlines, pilots with APS MCC are more competitive in job opportunities, as they increase the chances of completing a Type Rating, which involves very high costs for an airline.
The success rate is 98% for passing a Type Rating.
