License Revalidation
Before the license expires
A revalidation corresponds to the process that allows a rating to remain valid before its expiration date. By fulfilling the established requirements, the pilot can continue to exercise the privileges associated with their license without interruption.
According to the regulations defined by EASA, pilots must demonstrate that they maintain recent experience and adequate operational skills during the validity period of their rating.
Requirements
Completion of a minimum number of flight hours within the validity period of the rating, which may include time as pilot in command or in other required operational roles.
Practical assessment conducted by an authorized examiner to confirm that the pilot maintains the required level of proficiency for licensing.
After fulfilling the requirements, the revalidation must be duly recorded in the pilot’s documentation, ensuring the continued validity of the license.
All requirements must be completed before the qualification’s validity period expires.
At IFA, pilots receive support throughout the revalidation process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintenance of required operational standards.
