IFA Industries obtains certification as Continental Diesel Service Center, company opts for the use of diesel engines, with greater safety and less environmental impact.
IFA Industries, recognized for its leadership in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO-Maintenance and Repair Organization), announces that it has been certified as a Continental Diesel Service Center since the beginning of 2020.
The company, with more than 40 years of experience in maintaining various types of aircraft, recently opted to certify itself in the most advanced engine for general aviation, Continental Diesel engines. The reason for choosing this partner is mainly due to the component quality and also the fact that they prove to be more efficient and economical than traditional AVGAS engines. The use of Jet Fuel, the efficiency of the engine and its low consumption also makes this solution a more positive option for the planet.
Continental Diesel engines also offer other advantages. They are equipped with a FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine Control) system, which provides greater safety and protects the engine from pilot errors, thus making them more suitable for instructional environments in aviation. These devices are certified according to the requirements of the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency).
For IFA Training, a company dedicated to the training of pilots belonging to the IFA group, 5 C172 airplanes equipped with Garmin Diesel and Glass Cockpit engines are currently being remotorized, the first of which will arrive at the end of March this year.
