ATR 42 / 72

The ATR 42/72 500 Type Rating Course consists in training pilots to acquire all the necessary knowledge to understand the basic functions of the airplane systems, the use of the components of each system, training of operating procedures and use of Checklists and Instruments.

Students are expected to be proficient in all emergency manoeuvers, operational aspects and work in a multi-pilot environment.

Course Description

  • Commercial pilot licence with an ATPL Frozen
  • Multi-Engine and Instrument Rating
  • Multi-Crew Cooperation course
  • For licences issued after 29th December 2020, pilots must have Upset Recovery Training

Approximately 25 days.

Ground School

  1. Theoretical Instruction – 69h
  2. Cockpit Procedure Training – 12h
  3. Progress Test and Final Examination: 6h

Duration: 13 days

Simulator Training

  1. Simulator Instruction: 32h – 8 sessions
  2. Skill Test: 4h – 1 session

Duration: 11 days

Base Flight

6 Take-offs and Landings

Duration: 1 day in France
